Successfully integrating ICT into your school's academic curricula is a complex and challenging educational goal. Complex because it involves many ICT-related purchases as well as extensive teacher training Challenging because it must be done within set, and often limited budgets. FUTUREKIDS would like to offer our tested and proven model of ICT integration. By combining our curriculum development and training expertise, FUTUREKIDS equips teachers with the tools they need to infuse ICT into lesson plans applicable to National Curriculum levels.
Our services:
Teachers observe and initiate effective teaching practices in the computer lab while teaching pupils using FUTUREKIDS Key Stages 1 to 3 ICT curriculum. Curricular units incorporate learning objectives, which are defined in a scheme of work in the ten ICT areas covered in the professional development course. With the assistance of a FUTUREKIDS Integration Facilitator, teachers learn to infuse ICT into all academic curricula, either in the computer lab or in the classroom.
FUTUREKIDS has made comprehensive computer learning fun! FUTUREKIDS teaches children, teachers and adults computer literacy through an innovative, proprietary computer curriculum. From our roots in Learning Centres to our partnership with schools, we continue to fill an important need for a systematic approach to teaching computer skills.
FUTUREKIDS curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the UK National Curriculum for ICT and is recommended by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. This partnership with Cambridge uniquely facilitates the teaching and assessment of ICT skills. It also recognises the achievement of pupils by issuing a qualification of real value. The Cambridge certificate will boost confidence and provide a platform on which future successes can be built.
